Dear fellow Larian enthusiasts,

with all this noise I cannot seem to find info on whether there'll be split-screen co-op in a fashion similar to Divinity: Original Sin (1 & 2) or not...

For my wife and I, it would be a deal-maker or -breaker. If there's no split-screen co-op, we're not getting on board. So would be important to know before we get all excited. (Been looking for something to live up to the D:OS experience as a superbly couple-friendly game!)

I understand that local co-op will not be part of the beta. What is not clear whether there will be local co-op at all in the finished product....

There will be split-screen, and it's planned to be implemented during Early Access. That is what "not on Early Access launch" implies.
If you follow the link it states this exact thing in the first question about multiplayer.

Is there multiplayer in Early Access?
Yes, there will be 4 player online multiplayer, but split-screen will not be immediately available on launch.
