I downloaded the setup file from my browser and its not corrupted but i open the setup file and it just does nothing a dos box opens and its been open for like that for at least 30 mins and nothing has happened and the stupid gog downloader wont work either right now

I don't know why it's opening a dos box, but if you've got Vista (like me), the installers frequently take forever to open up. Just wait for it. =P

running the installer as administrator (so right click and `run as administrator') also tends to speed up things.

It does take a long time for the BG installers to open. I'm running Win 7, and you could comfortably make a cup of tea before they're ready to go... I'm on a Core 2 Duo 2.2, 4 gig RAM. I think it's down to the sheer size of the setup files.
