I installed Baldurs Gate 2 Complete, but can't get it to run properly - even with the tips from the issues page.

The game keeps freezing, but i can't find a pattern behind it. Sometimes I can play for 30 minutes, but often it is like 1 or 2 minutes.

My system uses an intel i5, geforce gtx 1050 / intel hd graphics 630 and Windows 10. The game uses the intel graphic chip as default, when I try to run it with the geforce card it doesn't even start. Theres no problem with anti virus programs, i just use windows defender. I run bg2 as admin, installed it to a neutral folder and reinstalled all graphic drivers and all directx components, plus reinstalled directplay legacy components, the game won't start without them also. I tried different compatibility options, also different graphic settings (BGConfig), windowed, fullscreen, with and without 3D accerlation, g3 fixpack and widescreen mod. I think i also reinstalled the game like 10 times.

I have no idea what to do now. Baldurs Gate has been my favorite game since it was released, always worked somehow, I cant tell how many walkthroughs I did and how many characters i played... if i remember right my last walkthrough was in 2018 using the same hardware...

It would be terrible if I had to play the EE versions with that crappy bonus NPCs and Quests
