olnorton: Your game is saving in a different location to where it is looking for them.
What Operating System?
Where did you install the game?
If you save a game & call it XXXXXXX does it show up in the save folder of your Baldur's Gate directory?
When I look in appropriate save folder, the pictures of the saves lead me to believe it is saving to the correct folder. I managed to get it to save "correctly" by unchecking all the read-only stuff in the folder, however, what I didn't know before is that these previous saves were actually where they were supposed to be in chapter, people killed/talked to, triggers like the drawbridge at wyrm's crossing, fog of war, and other miscellaneous things like chests being looted BUT I quickly noticed that even though NPC's were talked to (even moved to post-quest offer locations) their quests and journal entries weren't actually triggered *SPOILER*(including the main plotline with Scar)*SPOILER*, and items looted weren't actually in inventory even though npcs were dead and chests were emptied. I guess the only possibility in my not having to start a new game, and saving myself many hours, would be figuring out console commands for certain triggers like quest completion. I haven't been able to find any such commands on google, only the typical give item and teleport to area stuff. Any help would be very appreciated.
