Which do you think is better? I always took the money. My reasoning for this is that I'll eventually I'll get gear that will eventually eclipse the dagger in damage and abilities. On top of that, I don't think you come across many spectral undead. Even in the first game, most undead were skeletons and zombies. I'd save it towards getting spells or magical items.

But I thought about all the stuff you get, and you don't come across decent gear until late game. And some of the better items are exclusive to heart of fury mode.
