GoatBoySteve: Many spells grow stronger the higher the character's level, which is gimped by multiclassing since it slows level progression. In my case I have Aerie, a multiclass caster, and Imoen, who (for our purposes) is a full mage. By choosing largely spells that don't level for Aerie, you can make her a more effective mage. For instance in the past I may have had both of them memorize one Breach and one Lower Resistance, but Breach doesn't change with character level where as LR gets +1% per level of the caster. So now I'd have Aerie memorize two Breach and Imoen two LR instead of spreading it out. Is that clearer?
Yes, it is.

But then again Lower Resistance always was a spell that I wanted to cast as fast as possible. So I'd rather let Aerie and Imoen cast a Lower Resistance in round one and start laying on the hurt with Magic Missiles from round two on instead of letting Imoen cast Lower Resistance in rounds one and two and then coming in with Magic Missiles from round three on.
Here is a minor one. Experience points earned from thieving (lock picking and disarming traps) seems to be based on the level of the thief. So always have your highest level thief do the thieving to get the most XP. I tested this once by having Imoem and Jan Jensen pick the same lock (reloading) - Jan got almost three times as much XP. Potions that increase thief skills made no difference.
Two more things. One, Kundane +2 adds an extra attack even though it doesn't say so on the description. And two, with any weapon that grants +1 attack per round, the extra attack is made with the main hand weapon.
