I'm late final chapters and using the sewers to get around BG city to avoid the Flaming Fist bothering me, The walk though advises to go to, e.g., coordinates ,x- 200; y300.
i know that I can see the coordinate location of my party by pressing x. The question I have is this:
assuming I am at x -100; y-200, which direction increases x, or decreases y. I am directed to x-
350, y-700, do I go to the left for the x grid to increase or to the right, and up or down for the y grid to increase or decrease?
I did not mind so much earlier in the game, but I do not fancy spending a lot of time wandering around these sewers to find the right exit point .
Thanks, lost and wanderingin the sewer, Muzzien
Coordinates are based on tilesets. It's not a case of move 1 step left and that decreases the X coordinate. Each tileset in each map is custom made, so unless you have those you're wasting your time. Since you're using a walkthrough anyway, just go here.
I thought pressing x gave you the coordinates of your cursor, not your party (which can be spread out).
So simply moving the cursor a little and pressing x again will show you which way is 'up' and 'down' for the x,y coordinates on that map.

Press x -> 200,300
Move cursor
Press x -> 150, 200

Ah, so x,300, is the other way (as is y,400)

to go from x-100 to x-350 you go right
to go from y-200 to y-700 you go down
coordinates are very useful to locate some treasures;) hidden in very specific points, but you would have to read about them in a walkthrough or something
