Im playing as a bard and something I always wondered was what does the actual bard song do?

Does it add to your hit chance and damage or to your luck chance of causing critical hits?

I believe it just adds to your damage and chance to hit, but I pretty much never use bards, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

According to the rules it should grant luck but I read somewhere that it only affects morale.
