As the title says, there are no footstep sounds for V. Does anyone have footstep sound, or is this just me?

EDIT: Nomad, in the desert starting area.

Yes, there are footstep sounds. However I have a similar problem where the footstep sounds seem to disappear after playing a while. Makes me wonder if there are other sounds that stop working, that are less noticeable. Hope this gets fixed...

Geforce 2080 Super
32GB RAM
Windows 10 Pro x64

I'm using the Nvidia HDMi out to send video and audio to my Denon AVR.

Yeah, same issue. They come back after reloading.

Updating to the newest Nvidia drivers fixed the problem.

Same here, footsteps seem to disappear.

I've just encountered similar bug yesterday, when out of nowhere my bike's engine sound stopped and after I got to my destination and started walking, most steps were in fact silent and I only heard footstep about every third or fourth step.

Relaunching the game fixed both problems (as it should since I doubt sfx are written to savegames and relaunching game should get rid of any memory leak related issues).

You are not alone: my female nomad V lost the hp/xp bar randomly after prolonged gaming sessions and yesterday i played without footsteps EVERYWHERE.

Occasionally when my footstep sounds disappear I look down to see that my character's feet aren't moving at all.

It doesn't seem to always be a sound problem; sometimes it appears to be a character animation problem.

I hear them sometimes.

Usually when I'm not sneaking, I'm in loud areas though... so I don't expect them then.
