I just changed my color scheme from "dark" to "light" to see what it was like and OUCH! My eyes!!! Does anyone use the light color scheme?

Okay I'm REALLY going to try and sleep now...

I use the dark color scheme as well for the same reason-the light scheme is way too bright indeed. I do think stg83 (for example) uses the light scheme though, as once he posted a screenshot of a forum page that looked like this... (just mentioned stg as an example of the top of my head, because I was kind of impressed he could stand that scheme myself...)

Same here. Dark is much better. Prefer darker schemas everywhere, where it is possible. => Saving our planet:)

yep, I not only prefer it because it is easier on the eyes and more aesthetically pleasing, but because of saving energy. I love to hear that I'm not the only one who thinks about that!

Dark side only. They could really do with opening the style up to the community so other skins/themes could be used.

Hehe, threads like this pop up every once in a while. There's actually a surprising number of people using the light theme. I don't personally understand it (I can't look at the light theme without sunglasses), but it does seem to be the case.

Light side. But only here... because normally I prefer the dark themed ones, but the colour combinations here on gog with the grey and the white font gives me problems. After reading a few lines things start to get blurry. So no choice. I really wish there were a few more themes...

As strange as it may seem at first, that depends on screen type in use. LCDs are more energy efficient with white backgrounds. For a detailed explanation take a look at this article.
