this song of Lou Reed (a perfect day)

is it meant like pure sarcasm or is it really meant by the lyrics
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYEC4TZsy-Y

personal i think it's pure sarcasm do to the final lyrics it said, you gonna reap what you sow but it can be interpret 2 way's
According to Lou Reed himself, it's a genuine description of what he would consider to be a perfect day with a loved one.

But bear in mind that the context in which he said that was an interview where he was asked about the common interpretation that it's directed not to a person, but to heroin.
No idea, but I dozed off during the first 10 seconds while listening to that music.
Why people can't have both. And nothing is pure, even the heroin (I have no real experience but I heard things).
