I just noticed "Giana Sisters: Runners" under the "Upcoming" Tab, and now I wonder, if there's any knowledge
(or even just rumors) whether "Giana Sisters 2D" might be coming, too?

I know, of course, that the guys in blue are tight like clamshells, when it comes to revelations about new games releases *sigh*

Thing is: "Runners" isn't really my kind of game - too hectic for an old geezer like me - but "2D" is very tempting.

Lately, I often found myself hovering the mouse pointer over the "add to cart" button on Steam,but I would absolutely prefer to buy it here - so, it would be nice to know, if GOG ever gets its own version.

I mean - BFG are on GOG..."Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams" and "Giana Sisters: Rise of the Owlerlord" are already here, "Giana Sisters: Runners" has been announced...looks good, or what do you guys think?

There is a good chance it'll show up here eventually I think. We'll see :)

Would buy it the moment it shows up here. I have to say that Black Forest Games' marketing for this game was very bad though. Until I read this thread, I didn't even know that this game exists (and I still get their Kickstarter updates for Giana Sisters).

Yeah, it really got released as some kind of "cloak and dagger operation".
Even on Steam it appeared "out of nowhere".

I skipped it several times on their "new games" page, before I finally noticed, that it was not GS: Dream Runners. :)

Are you referring to the very first Giana Sisters? There might be a problem with this, because Nintendo filed a cease-and-desist because the game was similar to Super Mario Bros.

If you are referring to something else, then I won't leave comment here, because I'm not aware of any other 2D game in the series.

Giana Sisters 2D, a PC port of Giana Sisters DS.

First I hear that they ported it to PC. I'll give it some thought if it shows up here since I have a soft spot for Giana Sisters, but I don't normally like remakes, remasters nor "brand new HD graphics" and the critical voices that I find on the internets don't make me think that this is going to be an exception.

Apparently it's a port of an iOS version that already suffered from the first portage and has now suffered some more. And it's buggy, or so they say. Maybe they're too harsh, or maybe it'll get some patches and be fine. I did want to play this game, but I never had a DS.

Does anyone here already have it? I looked at some youtubes and I don't think I like the new look, just as I expected. Can it run with the DS graphics, or are they gone?

Bad news. "Giana Sisters: Runners" does not appear as "Upcoming" anymore. Unless I am missing something.
