Ancient-Red-Dragon: Why would I care about Blizzcon. Blizzard's prime/heyday is long dead. They are now just a pathetic shell of their former selves who longer produce quality games and with a name brand that means nothing any more, just like Bioware.
How can you say that they don't release quality games anymore. For the last 6 Hearthstone expansions, they have re-released the same solo-play campaign, but they reskined the shit out of it every time. Can't wait for March, I get the opportunity to replay it all over again, to unlock 15 card packs.
OW2 has to be a meme, cos the current overwatch has been out 3 years and the game has had harldy any content added to it, all we got is new heroes and maps, and some shitty workshop and replay system, id like to see the timgated modes no longer timegated, id like to see lucio ball as a league which is playable for everyone non comp.

they also have announced the closing concert act yet, there really keeping this blizzcon sealed which is good, i hate leaks

I have never been this excited for Blizzcon (actually this is the first time I'm looking forward to it).
It's going to be glorious and I can't wait to watch them crash and burn after all the crap they pulled the past few weeks.
I have my popcorn ready. Should be fun to watch. Never thought they would be able to do something worse than "Do you not have phones?" - but by golly they proved me wrong... and it hasn't even started yet!

Seeing how they fucked up this bad before Blizzcon even began, at a time when PR and good marketing would be of utmost importance due to last year's disaster, I expect nothing but hilarious memes that our grandchildren will speak of.

The hilariously bad timing combined with a complete lack of proportion reveals higher-ups being out of touch with reality. I mourn for the employees that have to go to work each day knowing what socially tone-deaf jackasses they work for. It doesn't matter how good the band is if the captain is heading straight towards the iceberg with a smile on his face while getting cheered on by his crew.

They even doubled down and installed a bot who bans anyone who even mentions Hong Kong for 24 hours in their Twitch chat. Silencing fans isn't exactly a good way to defuse the situation.

With this Blizzcon I am hoping to hear the following things.

1) The Story with Overwatch on the Switch. ( Highly unlikely or give a BS response) Why did they cancel the Launch event in New York? I want to hear it from their mouths and not from a 3rd party because I have heard enough from 3rd party people so it is time to hear it from Blizzard themselves. And What Nintendo said to them after the Cancellation of the event.

2) Diablo 4 announcement

3) Any new information on Diablo Immortal like a launch date and what is going on with the project.

4) Diablo 2 remastered (might be a highly unlikely thing yet again but you never know what will happen)

Finally I am curious to hear what Blizzard has to say for themselves about this China and Hong Kong debacle and what ins going on outside of the venue because some YouTubers who keep up on this stuff say there might be protesters outside of the venue,

They are only re-selling nostalgia at this point. Instead of making new interesting games, they are remaking WC3 and most likely will remake D2. When it comes to the newer games, the last one that I somewhat enjoyed was SC2. The rest of their current portfolio is BLEH multiplayer games.

Might check out D4 if it happens but otherwise nothing.

....
The hundreds employees who weren't fired in the first place! :( Even with increasing profits. That to me was the moment Activision was (is) fully in control now.

moobot83: this thread is for people who wanna post the reasons why there hyped for blizzcon and what they hope blizzard will announce with less than 2 weeks til blizzcon im hoping for the following.
Nice thread idea...will post my own thought after replying a bit here.

moobot83: diablo 4 they prolly have to announce this after the diablo immortal disaster of 2018 blizzcon.
I'd welcome a DIablo 4 if done with a mix of D3 and D2 features.

moobot83: new wow expansion, scourge based, well i dnt think t here will be a new class, i have no clue what wow expansion could be
Another WOW expansion? I don't get why they don't just make a new MMO(wow or not) at this point and not ride the stale gravy train so much.

moobot83: maybe even a new ip
Would be nice.
==========================================

As for me: I am wondering how they will handle the talked about protests by various people(some youtubers, some others) after the Hk thing and other debacles.

darthspudius: I expect we'll see a Chinese military parade of some sort.
Also they will likely ban south park stuff from being brought up(games included) for no reasons whatsoever......*blizzard whistles while walking away*

The Quartering(a sometimes decent youtube user) said he is hosting one himself, and has raised money for it. I will likely watch when his video/stream drops(if anyone wants to see the livestreams of his, if any, one needs to capture it as it airs or hope someone else did as he doesn't upload stream content after streams) to see what happens and his take on it.
