Cadaver747: Still can't get it, will it change things if the game is to be released in physical form?
I was actually talking about how digital editions and physical editions of games costs the same nowadays for a good number of games.....even though there are less costs(no need to press discs, make boxes, ship them, etc) for digital versions.
You even expressed what I was getting at in this one bit of yours here:
Cadaver747: I never understood why I have to pay 60 USD for digital version of AAA new game and the same for the case version which I don't want and which is harder to produce, transfer and sell plus risks of damages and theft.
This is what I was talking about......digital games should be cheaper nowadays, but in many places digital copies of a number of games still cost as much or more than physical copies.
Same with the SS1 remake.....they are charging 45 bucks for a game where they didn't even have to start from scratch(i.e. the original game was there for them to base their own version on), whereas some other games that started from scratch and are about the same size and scope as SS1 are sold for less.
Cadaver747: But then everything changes: PC games are cheaper compared to console games, regional prices make them even more cheaper. Good times!
They should be cheaper....and they are for some games to start with and for a good number of the rest when they are on sale....but a good amount of digital game editions(aaa included) are still very pricey at launch these days.

Btw, I will also be moving the SS1 talk to the release thread.
If you want to talk more on this I will be here. :)
