As a Linux user it was a huge disappointment for me that last week's release of XCOM: Enemy Unknown did not include the Linux version; it's a great game and had the Linux version been included it would've been an easy instabuy (plus gift copies). So I've decided to run a small giveaway with the aim of trying to convince Feral Interactive to make Linux version available here too (and the Mac version too I guess, as that was also their work).

If you would like to see GOG releases of the Linux/Mac versions of XCOM:EU, I strongly suggest sending Feral a message asking about it & perhaps we can convince Feral to release them here too :) It may be unlikely, but it's worth a try at least...

Feral Interactive's email address is: info@feralinteractive.com
If you use Twitter you could also try asking them there: https://twitter.com/feralgames

As usual I'd also like to encourage anyone who's at all interested in Linux to take a look at the beginner's guide I wrote & perhaps give Linux a try: The "Try Linux" Repost/Rewrite (a "beginner's guide") - Linux Mint 19 is due to be released soon with a lot of nice improvements and I plan to update the guide not long after :)

Anyway, the prizes in this giveaway are GOG keys for:

> Deus Ex GOTY (Deus Ex for Linux)
> Dungeons 3
> Hard West CE + Scars of Freedom
> Hotline Miami
> Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
> Ruiner
> S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition (Silent Storm for Linux)
> SWAT 4: Gold Edition (SWAT 4 for Linux)

All support Linux, either officially or via my Wine wrappers. To enter, simply post here listing what you're entering for in order of preference.

The giveaway will run until Tuesday 26th June at 19:00 UTC. Due to problems with downrepping in previous giveaways, the winners will *not* be publicly revealed unless they decide to do so themselves. Also make sure that your chat settings are correct; if they are not set to allow conversations with all other users then I will be unable to send the key if you win anything, so your entry will not be counted.

Rules:
- No rep requirement but I reserve the right to disqualify entries at my discretion.
- If your chat settings will not allow me to contact you then your entry will be disqualified.
- Winners will be selected randomly after the giveaway ends.
- Each winner will receive one prize - whichever of the remaining prizes is their most preferred.
- Please only enter for games that you don't already have.
- Please only enter for games that your system can run.
- Please only enter for games that you're interested in, intend to play & won't just let rot in a backlog.
- Keys are for your own use only/not to be traded (except for leftovers/duplicates from multi-game keys which may be re-gifted but not traded)
- Anything not redeemed within one week after being awarded may be given to another entrant or reused for a future giveaway.

Bonus Xenonauts key for whoever's fastest: echo "MtbcQ2ckF4745wo=" | base64 -d | xxd -p -u -l10

I've won plenty of your giveaways, used your scripts and you've helped me a lot with my Linux installation so I've sent Feral an e-mail to convince them to bring a Linux version of the game here to GOG.
Thanks for another great giveaway and fighting for Linux gaming! +1!
I've tweeted them and asked by e-mail. Would be nice to see them changing their minds...

Not in this time - thank you for the games I won before in your giveaways!
Oh, and thanks for wrappers - I can confirm that the one for Deus Ex works like a charm :)
I love your definition of a "small" giveaway! Only 8 games ...

I've already emailed Feral about this. At that sale price, I would have bought this immediately, regardless of the fact that I already own it on steam.

Thanks for the giveaway adamhm!
I'm in this time for:
> Hotline Miami
> Ruiner
> S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition
> SWAT 4: Gold Edition
> Deus Ex GOTY

I salute your fight for keeping Linux users in the mind of games publishers and developers.
Deus Ex GOTY (Deus Ex for Linux). Message to feral has been sent.

I already have it on Steam too (had it before I switched to Linux, and before it even got a Linux release). It would've been nice to have a DRM-free version.

At least Phoenix Point (of which I am a backer) supports Linux and will be coming to GOG.
Not in. Good pickings for the giveaway. Wish you the best of luck, adamhm, in your fight for Linux version of XCOM.
I'm in for:

Dungeons 3
SWAT 4: Gold Edition
Ruiner

Thanks
The government in my country made a shitty Linux OS called Canaima and had it forced into as many PCs as possible. My PC had it at first, and gave it a chance before I ultimately installed Windows 7 on it, and holy hell, it was a mess of an OS. Specially how outdated it was, dead repositories and no help for users not accustomed to Linux (which must be hell for seniors trying to use the PC they just bought). I know several people who bought these government PCs, and not a single of them use the Canaima OS.

As for the giveaway, I'd like to enter for:

Hotline Miami 2 (1 too, but 2 my priority)
S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition
SWAT 4

The only games I can run on my potato PC

I'm in for Deus Ex GOTY

I really really wish Kotor 2 was released on here for linux, always makes me sad when I see it not having the tux icon. :(

Thanks for the giveaway!
I'm in for (in order of preference):

> Dungeons 3
> SWAT 4: Gold Edition (SWAT 4 for Linux)
> Ruiner
> Hotline Miami
> Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

By the way, i sent an e-mail to info@feralinteractive.com. Let's wait and see when a reply comes in.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the giveaway.

From what I have noticed, most developers who sell their game on gog are beginning to take the emerging gog market seriously.

With enough emails I am sure they will eventually release a Linux version of XCOM. They have nothing to loose and everything to gain from doing that. I will send a quick email to them.

I will be in for Ruiner.

I was going to ask you if you had tried the Steam/Windows version in Wine, but after looking at that Phoenix Point thing, I'm not sure I care any more. It's not like I don't have enough backlog to keep me busy until that comes out.
