Lifthrasil: Yes, it was. And your choice of target was very good. Catte would have been an easy mislynch otherwise.
Agreed!
Still need to figure out some post-game flavor. With the school being taken over by the Void Legion of course.
I have a question to Catte, I guess, but anyone with the corresponding knowledge is welcome to answer - when does Stein's Gate pick up? This is the third time I've started watching it and I've never gotten this far before (I just finished episode 10 last evening) and it continues to be a slog. I keep seeing praises about it and I'm yet to recognize what they are based on.

Probably that praise belongs to the visual novel, I think. I didn't really interact with it.
A week had passed. Natsume-sensei makes it on time to the class, now full of vigor and vitality. All classmates that were hospitalised were now discharged. Things were going super swell, were it not for all the classmates wearing some kind of purple and gray "uniform" that reeked and smelled of evil and wasn't one bit impractical. Not to mention the school having some weird kind of aura on top of being painted with more purple and white.

"Good morning, everyone." Natsume-sensei smiled as the pupils did their thing. "Now, something's been bugging me. Soryu-san, Kirara-san, Amane-san, stand up."

The very girls who brought the Void Legion's influence into the school stood up. "Yes?" Asuka started.

"I don't understand." Natsum-sensei leaned forwards on her desk, supporting herself with her two hands.

"What is?" Asuka scratched the back of her head.

"You guys did all that stuff last week, and okay, you won, I'll concede that. But, is that it?" She opened her palms, motioning towards the class. "Your Void Legion or whatever it's called...changed the paint? Made a new uniform? I thought you were gonna like, change the curriculum or something."

"Aha...haha..." Misa spoke. "The Legion isn't sure what they want to do with the school yet."

Hazama glared at Asuka. "Well, someone just had to get in a fight with another girl over teddy bears."

"Shut up!" Asuka retorted. "But uhm, yes, the Legion, they didn't have plans for us and they still don't." She innocently smiled.

"Well, I like how frank you girls are." Natsume-sensei sighed. "Is the Legion taking over all the other schools in Japan now?"

In frustration, Hazama slammed the desk. "They're too busy celebrating our victory, they planned it all the way to next month. They're slackers, Natsume-sensei. They're gonna play like several rounds of some stupid game called Mafia, too."

"Interesting. You can all sit down now." The three girls did as told, Natsume-sensei continuing the class. As long as it was just a new coat of paint, she was fine with things as they are. At least she could FINALLY teach without worrying about the next victim.

JoeSapphire: Countermemes!
Je ne meme pas beaucoup. But also I don't think there's much to counter there, Dedo was firmly designed as culprit and was innocent. Not much I can say without spoilers, but it happens.

Still, I wonder what the effect these memes would have had in-game. They'd be clearly too much protest, but in a townie way or a scummy way ? I didn't know if I was to take Dedo's outrage as ironically contradictory wih his stance on AtE, or as a sign that he'd be more self-conscious than that as scum.

But I had no alternative suspect. IT WAS A WEIRD GAME. With lots of "real life" stances infiltrating the in-game exchanges. As you know, I'm terrified of ending up scum in one of these games and having to manipulate people (even if people sign up here for a game of "please manipulate me"). When people were praising the quality of my potential scumminess, I was thinking of how awkwardly treacherous I'd feel if I actually was scum. I seriously hope that, when it'll happen, I'll manage to enjoy it fully. Players not enjoying mafia make it difficult to separate in-game and out-game aspects. Thankfully, Cat was very active all the way, regardless of how she felt. Lurking is the worst thing.

A rollercoaster anyway, I felt exhausted at the end. Maybe I get invested too much in these games, and that's why I'm always reluctant to join. More than to host. Which I'll probably try to do soon-ish.

Dedoporno, YOU OVERESTIMATE COLUMBO. The series (and Falk as a human being) is awesome, but damn, the leap of faith that Columbo does in them so blatantly require the screenwriter's godly hand to land that I'm more comfortable with Wodehouse's Jeeves in that respect. Eek, "I'm sure that guy will try to murder me with his guillotine oops oh no turns out he wouldn't go that fa- shlok" is the least of them.

it's been so long since we watched it i can't really remember... It definitely ramps up the tension at some point but when that happens ???
is it two serieses? maybe the second series is when things are happening.

but i think we found it charmingly bizarre from the beginning so if you're not into it maybe it's just not for you. i think 80% of the reason i watched it was the theme tune too...

Well it's been a while since I saw it so I had to look up what's happening at the point of episode 10. There's something that happens a few episodes from where you're at that's a bit of a gamechanger... but I'm pretty sure I was enjoying it before that point so maybe it's just not for you.

One series (24 episodes) of Steins;Gate and then a sequel called Steins;Gate 0 (24ish episodes). Maybe you watched both? I've only seen the first.

It's not that I dislike it or find it uninteresting, I can see they are building up to something but it takes sooo long. It's just the development is way too slow so far. I'm not going to drop it, I just wanted to know there is something to look forward to as that makes going through the slower bits easier.

I finished it today. It was fine, I don't regret watching it but my standing remains pretty much the same. I think it's been way overhyped to me so in the end it didn't live up to the high expectations I had established. Oh well. But I'm glad I finally finished it and I don't have to wonder any longer. It had elements I quite enjoyed and other I found lacking and/or underdeveloped. I almost hated it during the next to last episode when a plot point I predicted a long while back took place but then it got worked around in a way I unfortunately also had thought of so and I was sort of hoping I'll end up surprised. Still, decent watch overall.
