I have difficulty believing this is already one and a half decades in the past...depressing how time flies :-(
Never owned it myself, but played quite a bit of it at a classmate's house...fun game, but those levels in Max' psyche (? or were they nightmares?) were annoying iirc.

I agree it's still the best third person shooter, and in my opinion the best game ever. I love it to death. The mood, the gameplay, the neo-noir style, the comic book cut-scenes, the writing, the sureal dream levels... everything. And while the second one was still good, and had some very cool ideas, the first one is in a league all it's own. Also, I like Max's (Sam Lake's) face from the first game better. He's too "hollywood handsome" in the sequel.

I do however question your choice of music for your trailer. Maybe it's just that I don't much like that song (and Imagine Dragons in general), but really I think it's always a mistake to go with anything else for Max than Poets of the Fall. Still, a nice trailer.

Well said. Ive played the game 6 or 7 times now. There isnt one thing I'd change in that game. Even the dream levels.

Poets of the fall i associate with the sequel mostly since they were in the credits there. Lovely song in any case.

Max Payne is currently the most-desired Take 2/2K game on the wishlist. Wonder what the hold-up is.

EDIT: Hmm, maybe because it's published by Rockstar.

Definitely because of R*. They seem to be avoiding this place like the plague.

That Max Payne trailer greatly suffered from not having the BOUUUUUUU! sound effect anywhere which you are supposed to have in action trailers.

They have Red Dead ( which may or may not be GTA: Wild West), which isn't even on PC, and the new one will probably a Fee to Pay MMO like GTA 5 no matter where it is. They have other games, but they probably don't care anymore.

The only true Max Payne, is Max Payne 1 with KungFu mod.
