I am trying to disable NLIPS in Homeworld: Emergence. It seems there are fixes for Homeworld: Classic, but for some reason the files are different in Emergence, and I am not able to find any fix for that game.

Back in the day, there were mods for Homeworld and Emergence(Cataclysm) that fixed it, but they seem to be unobtainable, and I am not sure they work for the digital version anyway.

I remember Homeworld,

I played through the original game once and then never touched it again.

Brilliant game, just one tiny little thing spoiled it for me - not enough automation commands, especially with fighters - you really cannot give them a standing order to return when the fuel gets low??

Too much unit hand holding slowly wears me down, I can take so much, then i can take no more.... kills many a game for me, cough, Warcraft3, cough, and when i think of playing them, this is what goes through my mind "nah, i just cannot be bothered dealing with that issue, i think i will play something else".

I'm usually fine with the micro managing in most RTS games. But it depends on the difficulty (HW was a bit too much). If I want to challenge myself and find out how much stress I can deal with... I'd look for a job that pays more.

Many years ago I quit the original HW half way... but it was still fun. Maybe one day I'll give the remastered version a try.

The sequels and the remastered versions removes fuel, so you get a little less micromanagment there.
I mostly used strike-craft in the beginning and for specific strikes, and only rarely as attritional forces, so I had less issue with it.
