When the notification system got added, I have had my taskbar blink way too often.
This seemed simple enough to fix, I went into settings, set every notification setting to "-" and thought that would be the end of it.

This reduced the blinking by a lot, however, this did not disable wishlist sale notifications, which are still popping up blinky alerts in TWO places on my taskbar, sometimes more than once per day, which as you can imagine, is somewhat annoying when it's not actually anything urgent.

Is the "wishlist alert" notification setting not working at the moment, or did I miss something?

I suspect you might have more luck getting an answer in the stickied Galaxy thread.

It's not just you, I found it so annoying I've just removed all games from my Wishlist to stop the blinking. As I also use ishereanydeal.com as well it wasn't essential for my use of Gog (which I otherwise love)
Dear devs - I will remove GOG Galaxy because of this BS flashing. Please respect your customers - we have enough distractions without a visible ads grabbing our eyes!!!

Dear user: You can disable notifications somewhere around the task area. To which of your settings to adjust, I wouldn't know exactly.

Dear User - This is not a Galaxy setting but a setting of your OS. Notification settings can be adjusted for each individual program. So don't complain and get your OS settings in order instead.
I'm going to have to agree with that removing gog galaxy because of this is becoming an option i'm considering
and since some of you seem to have reading comprehension problems, i'll need to type the problem in caps
Sorry for the agressive text, not actually angry, just highlighting this:

THERE IS AN OPTION IN THE GOG CLIENT SETTINGS TO DISABLE THE BLINKING

IT DOES NOTHING

MAKE IT FUNCTION!

.. please?

I'll add my request to be able to disable the wishlist notifications.

It's not just the OS icon that flashes, it's the little bell in the galaxy client header too. I could not find any way to disable this in the Galaxy settings.
I literally have to shut down Galaxy every time I'm done using it because it's maddening how much it flashes. Like the OP, I've shut off every possible notification option, yet it still persists in flashing the task bar pretty much whenever the hell it feels like. It also flashes the system tray icon.

Flashing is supposed to be when a program needs urgent attention, or cannot continue without user intervention. Not "Hey! Look at me! Hey! Look at me! HEY YOU LOOK AT ME NOW! RIGHT NOW! PAY ATTENTION PAY ATTENTION!"

I don't care about stuff on my wishlist being on sale. I get email notifications for that. I don't care about an update being available--I can scroll through my list of games looking for blue dots. This behavior is just unacceptable and pointlessly irritating, and I'm reminded off it EVERY time I forget to manually exit Galaxy.
No flashing here but then I do not use Galaxy, which means no achievements and no cloud saves and some more things removed too.
You mentioned you've already set every notification option to "-", so I don't know what's wrong with your version of Galaxy.

I've set mine to Desktop Only on the few I'm interested in, and I rarely get any notifications.

Maybe your settings are not saving for some odd reason? Have you tried running as admin or even uninstalling and reinstalling?
Just off the top of my head, try a new battery.
First offence? Crucifixion!

I have no blinking. This is because I do not have Galaxy installed.* (I download games on a different computer to that on which I play them, so it doesn't work anyway.)

________
* Yes I have had to manually uninstall the client at least twice as it was installed (for my convenience!) automatically with some games.
I too have had this issue since I first installed Galaxy. Regardless of the setting, wishlist items ALWAYS cause the flashing flashing flashing flashing click me flashing flashing flashing attention-demanding flashing flashing flashing.

Which is getting more & more irritating the longer this bug remains un-fixed.

Sooner rather than later, I am just going to have to abandon Galaxy client (go back to manual installing), or empty my wishlist completely, & miss out on offers. Either way, I would be interacting with GoG less, & therefore spending less money.

Why has this problem not been fixed already: it is just lowering GoGs reputation now, & costing revenue.
I have this issue too. Annoying issues like this are why i no longer buy games on gog - the client and website are rubbish.

Even the font reviewing my draft post before i clck post is hard to read, who does light grey on dark grey? Why can't my draft be white on dark grey.so i can read it?
