Hey, this could be it. This could be the update that makes Galaxy as awesome as it should be. Updated Forums for fitting every res. Movie Playback. Tabbed Browsing. Access to everything you could reach on the main page.

And then...
...it´s always just a stability fix, some tweaks on how downloads are handeled or so. :(

My thoughts in the same situations: I don't actually know, but I doubt it relates much to Galaxy, as -running Linux- I don't use the application and as such I don't keep track of when it gets updates.

It would be nice seeing a notification with "Galaxy on Linux!" though. Just throwing that out there. Not sure I would use it much more, but that would make me at least notice it a bit more.

I think oh crap another huge download for a patch and a UAC prompt for each game updated.

You could increase your check intervals for trying out GOG Galaxy?

Maybe checking once-twice a year if something has changed is enough.

GOG seems to have a working system there but they don't really progress with adding new features or improving existing features significantly. Galaxy may stay like this forever.
