It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Pay with PayPal has stopped working for me, but maybe this is also the case for some others?
There was a problem with processing your payment. Please try again.
This was certainly the case last night, with a special order, but is the same again today with both that order and a normal one I just tried.

I contacted Support last night, and then gave them an update just now, but not yet heard back from them.

I tried 3 different browsers (Brave, Firefox, Opera) as well as CTRL+F5 many times, logging OFF and then back ON, closing and restarting the browser.

My last purchase from GOG with PayPal was just 6 days ago, and I have not changed any GOG or Browser setting. Neither have I changed anything at PayPal, which I can still independently login to.

The credit card my PayPal account is linked to, was last used two days ago with Amazon, to buy an ebook, and there is heaps of money in the account.

In any case, when I attempt to checkout the order with GOG, I never get to the Login for PayPal, so it hardly seems to be a PayPal issue their end, just something on the GOG end, which is why I am asking here.

So while waiting for Support to get back to me, I thought some other member might have something to share on this issue?

Clearly I can no longer purchase games at GOG, while this issue exists.

It is PayPal or nothing for me, and over the last two years and a half, I have used PayPal to purchase almost 800 games from GOG.

I also had problems with PPay the other night, and finally had to use a CC# because the sale was about to expire. The popup window never did fill in, and after about 30m of waiting and retrying, I gave up and used another method. I'll try it again and see if I still have trouble...

UPDATE: just tried it with a couple games I had in my cart, and it seemed to work. Although it took much longer than normal for PPay to respond and fill-in the popup dialog. One thing I did coincidentally a little while ago was to reboot the router. Don't know if that impacted it or not, but you might try something similar with your modem or router. Just a thought?

BTW, I just got the email that Paypal usually sends out as confirmation for my order, so hopefully it'll work for you, too!

Good luck.
If you had bothered to search the forum, you would of found quiet a few threads on the matter. It's the button top right, next to new post.

Funny man. :P

I did manually search the topics listed on the first three General Discussion index pages, for any recent issue.

I can just imagine how many topics would popup from an automated search from much earlier, and I had no desire to wade through them for who knows what possibility or not of a resolution.

I also checked through GOG's Help topics.

Remember, I have contacted Support, so I am mostly counting on them. This extra here is just something I could lightly do meanwhile.

Coming here was really very much an afterthought, and I did not really expect it to solve anything.

Once again, thanks, but it did not work. :(

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've not done any Windows etc updates recently either.

Though I guess my browser(s) may have done so ... but that should help, especially if a security issue.

Just checked Brave (Chrome clone), and yes it is up-to-date, and the main browser I have been using now for many months, after I finally decided to give up on Firefox.

Phew, I finally had success and got my game.

Don't know if GOG did something .... not heard from them yet.

I did however, update Adobe Flash Player just prior ... I'd skipped updating a few days ago, clicked on remind me later.
Not sure this would do anything, unless some kind of animation involved.

I also updated my AV database.

Plus I exited the Block Ransomware program ... not that it was enabled ... not gotten around to it in a month or three. I doubt this would have been impacting, but it is a very powerful program, when enabled ... but hey, grasp at straws when desperate ... try a bunch of seemingly unrelated things.

After all that I logged out of GOG, restarted the browser and logged in again.

Glad to hear it!
Happy to report that my latest purchase from GOG, was all plain sailing with PayPal.
So I do indeed guess the issue is resolved.
