GameRager: Eh, it's not so bad. I hear tell they give free knockwurst and beer with every purchase. :D
============
One would think these games would get de-indexed as well given how others have been so far this year.
kotcore: iirc the minimum time for a game to potentially get taken off the index is 20 years
What if they make a mistake and need to remove a game or other piece of media quickly?

GreasyDogMeat: Isn't that what they paved the road to Hell with?
That and other things. Also, fair enough. I was mainly trying to play devil's advocate a bit and see some good in something bad.

Randalator: Nope.
You can motion for having a game removed from the index whenever you want to. It's recommended to wait for a few year to allow for new decision guidelines to evolve, but technically you could go for it on day one. After ten years you can motion for a delisting in a simplified proceeding.
Apart from actively seeking a delisting there is also an automated process. Every item will be automatically delisted after 25 years unless the Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons actively reviews the item and issues a substantiated "consecutive ban" ("Folgeindizierung").
Thanks for the info and clarifications.....it is appreciated to hear more on various gaming related issues from other countries.
