Everything is falling back into place.
I now knew which family-friendly show one could watch in the subway. And at last, its getting new seasons! Say hi, Samurai Jack.

Breja: Matter of taste. Kim Possible was much more of a comedy, so it's up to your sense of humor, the most subjective of all things. But I also liked the characters a lot more, flawed, funny, and developing. Jack was always... just Jack. Rather bland hero, and going through no changes. But mostly it's probably about the backround. Samurai Jack draws inspiration mostly from anime and samurai films, neither of which I like at all. Kim Possible is a parody of the superhero genre, sci-fi stories and action movies. All stuff I like, so I "get" the show, the way I never "got" Jack.
Hey Breja you said Jack lacked humor well look at this: http://i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/983/982/1ef.gif

markrichardb: That's great news. Nothing but fond memories for Samurai Jack. The animation style and humorous moments of the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon (2003-2005) reminded me a lot of that show. I really enjoyed Jack’s relationship with The Scotsman.

OK I need help. The version of CN I have only has some lame shows badly dubbed in Hindi(and sometimes Tamil and something else) playing back to back. Is there a way to get the original version that airs the latest stuff online? Any schedule?

The prospect of this made me so happy: "Beloved 1990s kids show ReBoot is getting rebooted".
And then I kept reading: "Bob, Enzo, Dot, Phong, Hexadecimal, Megabyte and the whole gang are unlikely to be featured players any longer". How is this a reboot?
Plus this is from 2013, and I think I already knew about this, but completely forgot. If I remembered correctly they were also making a web comic book, or something similar. If they ever manage to make it I'll watch it, and probably hate it because it's not like the old one. :(
Thank you, TheMonkofDestiny for reminding me of this. +1

I guess it would be more of a sequel, but the pun is just to tempting not to make. And then I kept reading: "Bob, Enzo, Dot, Phong, Hexadecimal, Megabyte and the whole gang are unlikely to be featured players any longer". How is this a reboot?
Anyway, I think ReBoot is best left alone. It's very much a product of it's time, and not everything can, or should, be dragged kicking and screaming into modern day. Some things are inseparable from their times. That does not mean they are no longer good or enjoyable. Just that there's little point in "updating" them. Just look how 2000's turned out for MIami Vice. Yeesh.
There is definately room for a new show in hte spirit of ReBoot, but it needs to be it's own thing. Like Firefly to Blake's 7 or X-Files to Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Here's another (slightly) more current . And [url=http://www.cartoonbrew.com/cgi/reboot-reboots-113937.html]another which says mostly the same, with a little more background detail (you can see what looks to be MegaByte's reflection in the helmet of the character in the image). With it being a live-action/CGI show, I think it will be adequately distanced from the original series. But like you said, this assumes that it does actually get finished at all (the silver lining being that there doesn't seem to be any news suggesting that the studio has stopped working on it). As to whether it maintains quality or not, at this point it seems unfair to judge it. If I had been quick to judge with the original seasons of ReBoot then I don't believe I would've bothered watching to the point where it became interesting and something that was more than just a weirdly sanitized for Saturday morning consumption cartoon on the ABC network here in the US.

I had hoped that they would just make new episodes, like they are doing with Samurai Jack. But this "live-action/CGI" abomination makes me completely agree with you, ReBoot should be left alone. I hate it when they retcon succesful stand alone stories into never ending insipid franchises.
