Before every self-professed phd holder in cybersecurity comes out of the woodworks to proselytize to me how my anti-virus is trash and is giving me false positive, the latter being true, and that I should get something else you should understand this - my problem is not about security per se.
I am not absurd enough to say that a company should be perfect and without faults from the very start; ALL have rough starts with many misshaps to lesser or greater degrees. But when almost a DECADE passes and the problem still persists, then as far as I am concerned something is going wrong. Out of curiosity I searched for topics on trojans and viruses coming from the galaxy client, and they seem to go as far back as 2010 and I can find one for every year after. How this is not a severe pr problem for you people is very baffling to me.
We live in an age where we are told and assured over and over and over, again and again, that company X cares deeply about our privacy and protection, and has more than enough security to deal with pretty much anything. Then a gigantic company like google has a massive data breach involving gmail, facebook secretly selling/sharing private information, nord vpn gets hacked, sony ps4 gets hacked, and so on and so forth. And when I get a game from a platform that has been having this trojan/virus false positive issue for 9 years or more, and am probably about to be told to mark the files as exceptions and move on, no. This bs doesn't fly with me.
I've never encountered this issue on any other gaming platform (or whatever category it falls into to), but here it seem to be a very old problem that continues to persist, hence you have lost my trust and you have lost me as a client.
