timppu: Why play with an emulator, when there were perfectly fine PC ports of Turok 1-2 (on which the remaster version is based apparently)?
N64 version of Turok 1 & 2 had much better soundtracks, and the PC version of 2 is lacking the snazzy coloured lighting and effects.

Played Turok a few years back, it´s not a terrible game but I had to push myself to play it through to the end.
I got only half way in Turok 2 before I got sick of all the mazes and beamspawning of jumparound enemies.

I hope Nightdive will do a 'fogless' remaster of Strike Commander too.

Acriz: Wait, there were human enemies in Turok? I remember fighting robots and dinos.

Klumpen0815: In the non-German versions there were no robots in the jungle - silly, I know...
You can't even hurt those meat bags with arrows in real life.
Imagine a jungle without robots!

PS: The amount of blood in this game was so over the top, it was hilarious.
I can still imagine my surprise when I've seen the original version for the first time and someone got an arrow to the neck.
In the 90s, I thought robots were everywhere because people think they are cool, but half the time it was because of censorship.

Yeah but the N64 Version was uncontrollable rubbish.

GlennPN: I remember giving up on Turok because of a stupid pillar-jump sequence.
Oh I remember that.. it was like at the end of one of the first levels -_-

Wasn't it in level 3?
I've gotten an N64 memory card just for Turok and then I didn't even make it far enough to justify the use of it.
Damn, the controls of N64 Turok sucked badly and the clipping of those pillars made it like jumping on needle pins.

Sold it for 5€ a few years ago and was glad to get rid of it.

The FOV was really awkward too in N64 and PC version alike, hopefully this gets fixed alongside the terrible fog.

I'm not sure, but I meant one of the early levels, so it could be the third.
Those insta-death jumping parts were horrible.

Also, that damn fog was quite.. claustrophobic.
I totally got lost in the final huge levels and ragequit various times (the flat map was useless with multiple paths).
I eventually finished the game, but I'm not sure if totally legit lol.
