Maybe it's time to look for new revenue streams, like ripping out DRM from their older games and releasing them here :D

TheMonkofDestiny: Here's a Forbes article that cites ~93%. It also brings up the latest Ghost Recon being a big bomb in terms of operating costs. I'd assume they probably spent more on marketing for it than they did the actual game but I've never played it so that's just an unfair jape at it.

StingingVelvet: "Operating income" isn't revenue. That's why I said what I said. Not sure which term the Youtube video uses. Revenue being down 90+% would literally be catastrophic. Operating income being down that much just means they had a really crappy quarter.

Glad Division 2 and Breakpoint bombed though. Less online service games please.
Thanks for bringing some sanity to this topic.

Most of the best old classics that Ubi own are already on GOG.

I gathered that, I was more focused on the number and not the weird conflation of terminology (like yourself, I didn't really bother with the OP's YouTube video because... well, it's a YouTube video and I just took the thread title to be a bit embellished for effect).

It isn't the nail in the coffin for Ubisoft or anything, that's clear. It definitely doesn't look good on paper that they dumped another clunker out in one of their big franchises amidst a pretty big pile of delays with their other titles. If nothing else, they'll pull the trigger on the next Far Cry/Assassin's Creed installments and recoup anything they lost to pad out for another potential failure in the immediate future.

(edit: Not to mention the fact that they're clearly going to be making money off Siege in a variety of ways for quite some time until something comes along to supplant it)

LootSeeker: I just want Uplay to go away so I can finally install and play Might and Magic X

Crosmando: Lol you must have some real self-control to hold out that long.
heh, it's a combination of self-control and having so many games at my fingertips to play that makes the wait bearable. It also gives me something to complain about /ShakesFistAtUplay

Khm Assassin's Creed 2-4, Heroes VI (maybe not because of the conflux crap and dynasty stuff), Heroes VII, M&M X, Anno 2070

None of those are classics or old.

I think everything older than 5 years can be considered old. And if it's good, classic.

I too like old classic games like Call of Duty®: Black Ops II.
OOooooooooh wah, maybe they will have to sell up and serves them right for buying out my favourite, New World Computing and ruining it.

To be fair, it was 3DO who ruined New World Computing, Ubi just managed to buy the skeleton of what was left.
