Because nobody answered this thread properly, why is there shit hentai games instead of games people wished for a long time? Like Megetravaller and magic candle series ((OLd masterpieces))
I like strategy games. You don't see me throwing a fit when none strategy games are released on GOG. Some people like different games than you.

Such questions were answered hundred of times. GOG is a store, they can't release the game just like that, by downloading the game illegally from another website (you call it "abandonware") and sell it for real money. This would lead to some serious criminal charges. I read that in case of US intellectual property it would be possible to obtain the game for free after only 50-75 years from release unless it's an ongoing franchise maybe. And even in that case, after the wait of 75 years, when most of us will be dead already GOG would never have the right to sell it for real money.

The only way for GOG to release something is to sign the agreement with all the owners of intellectual property (there may be several different entities). GOG posted a few times how hard it is to get an agreement for an old game, especially when the original developer / publisher company is no longer in business. For instance someone tried to obtain the agreement to sell Dune (first from Cryo Interactive, the second one by Westwood) games and asked Brian Herbert for permission and he said "not interested". So you may shout and use CAPS f@%cking LOCK all you want but unless Brian says so, you will never get a Dune game.

Thank you.
Please consider creating a new thread, but in a less aggressive way. And with a constrictive criticism. And maybe with a little bit less capslocky.
Closing.
