tonyrequin: yes in this case, it's a free game so that's cool. But in general, all GOG games are sold with .99 bullshit (at least in euros).
I would be happy to give one penny more to gog and stop being considered as a cow :/

Getcomposted: But what happens when you buy over, say, 600 games? That extra penny now allows you to buy Arx Fatalis.
The thing is that online it dosen't matter since you pay exactly what it says. The problem is in real life where the norm is to let that on penny slip away because "it's only one penny".
Heh, these non rounded price are a standard marketing trick. It works on your mind to make you believe the game/product is a lot cheaper cause its 4.99$/€ instead of 5.00$€ :)

tonyrequin: Still, these "Marketing methods" are not fair to the consumer...

ET3D: There was a big chain store (don't remember which) which once tried to set prices simply, halve prices instead of do 1+1, etc. Sales tanked.
I think it was J.C.Penney.

Gonen32: >gog: "anon give us one more cent"
I'm about 20 cents away from the $50 reward... I'm sure i'll buy another game before the sale is over, just no clue what yet...
