My favorite has got to be Wing Commander Privateer. Day one buy for me, and the reason I know of GOG in the first place. I played that game so much like twenty years ago, even on a computer with no hard drive for a while thanks to the DOS driver for creating partitions in RAM.

EDIT: Duh. I'm in for King of Dragon Pass, and thanks.

" what's your most favorite game on GOG and why? "

Well, this may seem to be weird, but my favorite game on GOG ended up being "Treasure Adventure Game", which is completely free to everyone on GOG. There are so many great games on GOG, but everyone knows they're good. It's that subtle, unheard of game that you figured you'd give a shot cause you were bored, but were blown away with how genuinely fun it was. This game had me play all the way, straight to the end. The retro-style graphics reminded me of games I grew up playing, having many elements of the now "metroidvania" games, while having an amazing charm throughout. It was solid, and stayed interesting throughout. It also gave a feel of truly exploring and discovering some interesting places, each completely different than the last.

Treasure Adventure Game has such a cheesy title, "simple retro" graphics, nobody's heard of it, and is free. I think it's overlooked for those reasons. And because it's so overlooked, it blew me away. And lastly... It's really nice to have a game where you can have a really fun time, turn to your side, and see your 8 year old son playing the game, smiling, and having just as much fun as you... That, my friend, is a symbol of a great game.

edit- I also wouldn't mind Reversion: The meeting, though my first preference is King of Dragon Pass

I'm in for King of Dragon Pass! Thank you for the giveaway, +1.

What's your most favorite game on GOG and why?
Without a doubt in my mind I can answer that it's "Heroes of Might and Magic 2", because the developers took everything that made HoMM1 great, kept it intact, and added many new and perfectly fitting elements to the formula. They added proper campaigns, while the original had only 4 scenarios. They added mana to be used for spells. They added skills. Such great new elements.
At this point it wouldn't be out of place to ask: but didn't HoMM3 do the same thing? And my answer would be: No! Because, they completely changed the visual aesthetics of the game. Of course, HoMM3 improves on HoMM2, after all that's what every sequel should do, but to take the beautifully and carefully drawn sprites and replace them with some weird semi realistic depictions of mythological creatures is unforgivable. For me, HoMM3 is just an expanded HoMM2 with bad visual aesthetics. To be clear thanks to the improved campaign and gameplay elements HoMM3 is an amazing game, but "Heroes of Might and Magic 2" will always be my favorite.

Torchlight

Got it free and the very reason I know the existence of gog (For about several minutes ago)
D;

Choose the game for me which you think the best :)
Good for you Triock, that's pretty impressive. It's pretty hard to pick a favourite game on GOG because I like a lot of them for different reasons, but my favourite game of all time is The Witcher 2; I love the story and the characters, and I'm also fond of how well-written it is in terms of script. I wish more modern games would put that kind of effort in their writing.

I'm not in for the giveaway, but thanks for having it.
My favourite game on GoG is my favourite game at all: Ultima 7. Many good things come together in this game. It's one of the best RPGs (my favourite genre), it has a great, living world with lots of freedom. But best of all is the atmosphere. The world is just magic, the music is perfect and you are accompanied by companions that seem so alive that I genuinely cared about their opinions. I also like the adversary with his cynical comments on your progress. Overall it's an almost perfect game, the only flaw being the cluttered backpacks. I.e. the somewhat difficult inventory management. But then again my backpack looked quite as messy when I went hiking IRL. So it's just another piece of realism :-)

Thanks triock, but not in.
hmm,witcher 2! Though I don't have it :P I guess I just want to play it sometime :P

From the rest games, arcanum? fallout 2? fallout 1? arg too many :P

ok Witcher 2 then :PP

in for Nethergate: Resurrection :D

thanks & +1! :D
I'm in for King of Dragon Pass. Congratulations and thanks, Triock.

My most favorite GOG? Wow that's difficult to answer it precisely for me.
If it's most favorite GOG that I own, that's easy, that would be Stronghold. I don't have many GOGs. Soon my favorite will likely be the Witcher 2 that Xyem bought me today. I haven't even started the download yet.

Now the hard part...My most favorite GOG if all the games that I've ever owned/played but don't own them right now on GOG, be included that would be...Heroes of M&M 3? I'm not sure because I love HOMM4 too despite many not so much like it.

I played HOMM3 in the best period of my life, the happiest times, middle school to high school. The game along with other games of M&M universe shaped my world of fantasy, as I'm a fan of fantasy theme. HoMM3 did it best, stronger han other Heroes games and M&M series. It's hard to explain how the world of HOMM3 fit into mine. It just happened. That now the game's on GOG, I want to be able to play it again anytime I want for the rest of my life.
Not in but +1
BUMP! :3
Bumpin again
I will bump, so others don't have to grind. ;)
My most favorite game on GOG is Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri because I love turn based 4X games and SMAC is the best...

I'd like to enter for:
1. King of Dragon Pass (GOG)
2. Nethergate: Resurrection (Steam)

Thank you!

If you insist, and I'm glad you do, count me in. Of course, +1 for the giveaway.

The answer is Darklands. The reason is because it is the best RPG ever (IMHO) because it was the first RPG that had an aging feature that affects your stats. Also the reputation system that affects how cities treat you, and the way it was implement so in the world you could be seen as a Hero, but if you did bad deeds in a city, that city would still see you as a villain. Also, the plot and the place and time it is done of medieval Germany where you have priests and alchemists (not the usual cleric and mage :) ) and the character generation is also entertaining. I also liked the background music (especially when you were in the market) that added involvement to the game.

Game I'm interested in:
Nethergate: Resurrection.
