I will be happy to post both codes, but I have no way of knowing when they've been redeemed. In fact, I suspect they've both already been redeemed, but since I don't know for sure, I haven't posted the codes yet. If someone here redeems it, they would probably post here letting us know, but because this thread can be seen by anyone, even non gog members, anyone could have redeemed them by now.

If you (and others) think I should go ahead and post the codes now or soon, I'll be happy too. If some feel it's possible they've not been redeemed yet and would like to see if someone here "can break the code" I'll wait.

Last time I did these types of puzzles I was giving away GOG codes, and that's easy because I am always able to tell if/when it's been redeemed.

So, what do folks think??? :Post the codes now/soon, or hold off until later tonight or even another day????

Here's what I'll do.

It's almost 5 AM here on the east coast of the US, I will post the explanation to the encryption at 10:00 AM (5 hours from now)...

unless someone else posts the codes first to announce they've gotten it
or
unless I fall to sleep (haven't been to sleep all night)
or
unless I forget

LOL, all very (and equally) likely things to occur.
It is not so much time! Give us at least 1~2 days! Hahahaha.

I think if someone gets the code, should say here, but not spoil the result for those who are trying to get it.

Okay, I'll wait a day or two, that's okay with me too.
Just bumping and making a request.

If you did claim one of these codes, could you let me know??? If you'd rather remain anonymous, you could PM me and I would keep your identity secret. It would just be nice to know if these codes have gotten claimed or whether it's worthwhile for someone who might be interested in the game to take the time to try and solve the puzzle.

Thanks.
Sent you another one to encrypt ;-D

Cool! It looks like another code to give
away thanks to Momo 1991 and Bundle Stars
In 6 more days, someone can celebrate the
New Year by figuring out the code here and
playing this game Bundle Stars is giving away.

And if 3 of these codes isn't enough, then maybe
we can play some more word games or
other types of games to see if anyone can
get any of my hidden codes. But if you can't,
please now don't get upset, I can be tricky.

Remember, enjoy yourself this season,
but do be safe 6 days from now because
I assure you we don't even want to hear
that you got any DWI or worse.
Now please have a VERRY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

PS-Spaces don't count and all letters in the code appear to be capitalized.
nvm - bad Momo!

You'll need to capitalize any letters before attempting to redeem the code ;-)

Okay, here's the solution to the first encryption.

We are given these 15 characters:
(M) (H) (O) (W) (Q) - (V) (U) (L) (T) (W) - (V) (W) (W) (M) (Z)
and we must come up with the correct 15 characters.
(_) (_) (_) (_) (_) - (_) (_) (_) (_) (_) - (_) (_) (_) (_) (_)

Hint 1, with the "W" bolded, tells us that the four "W"'s are the four numbers 0605 in order. Hint 5 reinforces that by confirming the sameness of the 4th and 12th characters "0" and with gives us further clues that they're numbers by usage of the numbers 4 and 12 in the hint instead of spelling it out as in other hints and the fact it simply said they're the same (as in NOT saying they're the same LETTER as in other hints) This leaves us with:
(_) (_) (_) (0) (_) - (_) (_) (_) (_) (6) - (_) (0) (5) (_) (_)

Hint 6 tells us the eleventh and fourteenth characters are unencrypted which gives us:
(_) (_) (_) (0) (_) - (_) (_) (_) (_) (6) - (V) (0) (5) (M) (_)

Hints 3, 7, and 8 tell us what the second, sixth, and eighth characters are AND gives us the clue on finding the key to decoding the rest of the characters. So, with these revealed we now have:
(_) (F) (_) (0) (_) - (P) (_) (D) (_) (6) - (V) (0) (5) (M) (_)

Finally, hints 2 and 4 simply give us a confirmation to see if we unlock the code correctly.

So we need to look specifically at the second, sixth, and eighth characters to see how they consistently went from what we given originally to what the hints tell us. So we were left with
Character 2 =H originally but actually =F
Character 6 =V originally but actually =P
Character 8 =L originally but actually =D

And finally, the last sentence hints that we need to know our ABC's. So, if one knows their ABC's, they know that
F is 2 characters away from H (to the left if you write down your ABC's) and it's the 2nd character.
P is 6 characters to the left of V and it's the 6th character
D is 8 characters to the left of L and it's the 8th character.

So, we should be able to guess that the key to figuring out the others is to note their placement in the order of the code and count that many letters to the left on the alphabet. And that's where hints 2 and 4 can tell us if we're correct. So, let's try:

Hint 2 says the first, third, and fifth characters are the same. If we test our theory from above on those characters we get:
M was given as the 1st character, and 1 character to the left of M is "L"
O was given as the 3rd character, and 3 characters to the left of O is "L"
Q was given as the 5th character, and 5 characters to the left of Q is "L"

Aha! It looks like our original observation is confirmed, as these do result in the same letter.
(L) (F) (L) (0) (L) - (P) (_) (D) (_) (6) - (V) (0) (5) (M) (_)

Hint 4 can give us our final conformation when it says the ninth and last (fifteenth) character are the same letter.
T was given as the 9th character, and 9 characters to the left of T is "K"
Z was given as the 15th character, and 15 characters to the left of Z is indeed "K"
(L) (F) (L) (0) (L) - (P) (_) (D) (K) (6) - (V) (0) (5) (M) (K)

We have now confirmed the key and should be able to get the last character.

Lol.. so ABC's means alphabet, not letters a b and c... thats when I fail so much ! ^^ and all the letters were moved. The encryptation was like an offset (sorry for my bad english) Thanks OldFatGuy, that was fun
Here's another code:

8?X6W-?W3**-WYTC9

?=5
*=G
The key to the second code in the thread (thanks to carlosjuero) that was encrypted is the same as the first one, only in reverse, meaning you count to the RIGHT the letters in the alphabet and reverse the order of the whole numbers given for "M" (which is sort of a reverse "W" in the first thread, as in an upside down one).

The third code in the thread (thanks to Momo 1991) is revealed by counting the characters in each of the 15 lines to get the 15 characters of the code (SPACES DO NOT COUNT). So, the first character in the first line is the first character of the code. The second character of the second line is the second character of the code. The third character of the third line is the third character of the code etc. etc. etc. until the 15th line where the 15th character in that line is the 15th character of the code, again NOT COUNTING SPACES.

And the fourth code in this thread (thanks to Coelocanth) is given in the comment.

Thanks to carlosjuero, Momo 1991, Coelocanth, and Bundle Stars for the free codes. And best wishes for a Happy, and most importantly safe, New Year.

Below are all four codes, unencrypted. I have no way of knowing if any or all or which ones have already been redeemed. I suspect all of them have, but.... who knows????

The first code (courtesy of Bundle Stars) is::

(L) (F) (L) (0) (L) - (P) (N) (D) (K) (6) - (V) (0) (5) (M) (K)

The second code (courtesy of Bundle Stars and carlosjuero) is:

(3) (H) (V) (Q) (L) - (C) (7) (T) (G) (V) - (9) (R) (S) (9) (A)

The third code (courtesy of Bundle Stars and Momo 1991) is:

(C) (W) (6) (Y) (I) - (3) (L) (P) (M) (D) - (J) (6) (D) (D) (V) *

The fourth code (courtesy of Bundle Stars and Coelocanth) is

(8) (5) (X) (6) (W) - (5) (W) (3) (G) (G) - (W) (Y) (T) (C) (9)

*Both Momo 1991 and myself believe the 5th character is the letter "I" but it remains possible it's the number "1" so sorry if that's incorrect. It looks like the letter "I" though.

Hopefully at least one of them was claimed by a GOG forum member.
