NFL season is coming up, and I know mostly just the Americans care, but would any GOGers be up to play in our own fantasy football league? Just for fun, no prize pool unless you want.

Here's the page for our Yahoo fantasy league, and this is the invitation link that you should be able to use to register a team.

Everything's mostly default settings, here are the noteworthy ones I've adjusted:

- 12 teams, 3 divisions, 14 week regular season, playoffs are weeks 15 and 16, 1 week per round

- Playoffs will be 4 teams: the winner of each division + wild card (#4 seed) (may switch to top 6 teams)

- Yahoo's Can't Cut list intact (not adjusted, but worth mentioning)

- Waiver priority is reverse order of standings

- Roster setup: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE slot, 1 kicker, 1 defense/ST, 6 bench slots

- Draft is Monday, September 1, 8:00pm US Eastern. Live Standard Draft (snake drafting)

- League URL is public

Scoring is currently default. Here's the full list of scoring options Yahoo provides.

Passing:
Pick Sixes Thrown: -2
40+ Yard Completions: 1

Rushing:
40+ Yard Rushing Attempts: 1

Receiving:
40+ Yard Receiving Attempts: 1

Kickers:
Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards: -2
Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards: -1
Field Goals Missed 30-39 Yards: -1
Point After Attempt Missed: -1

Scoring Options:
Fractional Points: No

I can't seem to create a team in your league. Don't you have to list the league ID and the league pw? There isn't a create a team option in your link.

Oh, I thought this might be about the Football Mod for Unreal Tournament 2k4 and a nice league on GoG Galaxy. :(

I have two money leagues drafting this weekend, and I'm currently at work, but I'll try to look at it later... I'm not a huge fan of really base games though, so I'd consider me more of a casual interest/alternate. Also those long passing running plays REALLY introduce blind luck into an already inexact science. I've found them more frustrating than fun. Just my two cents...

I don't see a problem with any of those options. I agree with Cyberevil when long plays are given big extra point bonuses. Seen leagues with +5 or 10 points for 100 yard games, and bigger bonuses for long plays and other crazy combos, and it just sucks when your guy ends a game at 98 or 99 yards. But 1 point extra for a big play, not unbalancing, adds a little bit of zest.

I'll wait for more feedback before making changes. Also made a mistake in the OP, draft is Tuesday the 2nd, not the 1st.
