mike: In my opinion adding soundtracks to games for free is probably one of the coolest feature here. I just love soundtracks - movies, anime, games - it doesn't matter and now I can get some of the finest legally for free by just buying the game. That should be a standard so long ago!
I understand that not everyone loves soundtracks but give it a try ;)
Waiting for your impressions on various soundtracks :>
Yes, I too love soundtracks on games 'cause I love music. Usually publishers give soundtracks only with "special" or collectors editions of the game. If not so, it has to be bought from somewhere else if it's even sold anywhere.
Games nowadays have their sounds and music packed into strange encrypted format so that no-one can get them lossless from the game itself, only by recording.
Yeah, I like to see soundtrack embedded with the games so I can enjoy games, and the music, whilst not playing them. I'd like to see those music pieces lossless (FLAC, WAV) if just possible as I already stated in the feature thread.
Bought Fallout 1 and I love Mark Morgans work on it, and in Fallout 2 also. Almost shame that he isn't doing Fallout 3 but atleast we have someone as talented: Inon Zur.
I also love Nobuo Uematsu's work. Somehow he has perfectly gotten all the moods, emotions and surroundings to his music to match the games.
