Fenixp: then your kid must be an exception. I mean: there is so many games kids would prefer to play. Look at Assasins Creed graphics ! In about 10-15 years your son or daugther will talk with their mates about prehistoric graphics in assasins creed but for now it totalluy kick asses. There is no reason we should encourage our kids to play good old games.
Look at this in my way: there must be some games - really old ones - which graphics scare both you and me. A really old, oooooollllldddd ones. Those which we call old are really new for those titles. Should we force ourselves to play them ? Of course no - what we want to do is to bring back memories. So lets do it, lets have fun playing our games, without making any pressure to our beloved children.
PS: I just came back home andI am totally drunken, sorry for any mistakes.

I would want them to play Tie Fighter just to see how far Star Wars games have fallen
starcraft brood war would make sense to me...
Kids these days......
.....really need to learn how to either read or listen to the story of games, current ones and possibly old ones. I've just noticed that so many kids these days run through an entire game without paying any attention to the details and twists in the story and end up asking so many questions later on that are easily answerable if they paid more attention to the story & dialogue instead of looking for stuff to blow up/kill and gawk at the pretty explosion/blood effects and other eye-candy.
I think some of the games here in GOG will definitely make the younger generation appreciate what good story-telling is in games and what exactly is a good game with a great story. Bring Planescape Torment! I missed out on that one and will buy it from GOG for sure! :)
