This reputation thing on the left is funny.

I wonder, can I see where my most "reputable" post are?
Is there a list somewhere that shows which posts gained or lost most reputation points?
Are reputations points anonymous or can you backtrack?

Something personal:
How many reputation points do you "invest" each day (fractions allowed) ?
Do you think you should limit the amount of Rep Point distribution?
Do you read hidden posts with a bad rep?

I relatively rarely +rep posts, maybe 1 point a week on the average if that much. Should probably do it more often, but it slips my mind.

I often read hidden posts out of curiosity.

You know, some beer would make you stop caring about this :)
Reputation is a bauble to keep the peasants distracted. To judge the breeding of a Gogger you need to look at his registering date.

In seriousness both don't matter in the slightest.

Oh I quite fine with my drinking habits, thank you.
I don't care about my reputation in my private life, so the reputation here I care even less for.

I'm just curious about the Forum mechanics and interested in some behavioral studies of GOG's forum participants.
I'm the best so fuck all you bitches.

Rep: Off Da Railz
A week ago there was something going on, seemed that almost every other post was mostly just +1 and thanks or something. Some kind of frenzy if you will.. At least I saw it that way, good thing that it's not so crazy anymore. =)

I would like to see that what are my best and worst posts.

And rep invest? Wait, like if you give someone plus, it goes away from your own pocket.. Hmm.. infact it would be neat. Anyway, sometimes (rarely) I'll give a plus, never minuses.

I read hidden posts, like I'm gonna let some other decide what I should read. =)

being "active" on the forums and also being "nice" rises the reputation... people who are more active and nice grow their rep faster :)
Sometimes I feel a tiny amount of pride in it but mostly I don't care.

I "+1" posts I think are funny mostly. Sometimes wise ones.

1. There's no way to tell definitively how many upreps a post has received. If it goes to +5, you will see a "high rated" designation in the upper right hand corner in green letters (like this one). Conversely, if it loses points to -5, it shows "low rated" in red letters (like this one).
2. The only indications are the ones listed in my answer to #1.
3. When administered, they are anonymous. Noone can track whether you uprep or downrep a post.

4. I uprep and downrep whenever I think it's appropriate. Somewhat related: a user can only advance a maximum of 5 rep per day (it may be 5 rep per post per day, though I am not entirely sure).
5. I think how it is now is a personal choice for people to uprep or downrep, and I support that system.
6. Almost always, yes.
