Some Vampire Bloodlines screenshots from the time when I had my old CRT :)

Dunno if you still can call it modern, but I love it anyway.

And count me in if it's ok, thx ;)

Nice thread. I´m feeling better seeing all these ppl playing at such low res as me!
I've got boatloads of the old classic games, mostly from GOG going back into the 80s and early 90s, most of them being 640x480 or less, generally 320x240 or less. I'm not currently playing any of them though as I'm hooked on Torchlight and a handful of other more modern titles at the moment. ;o) I'd enter the giveaway but I play most of my games in 2560x1600 or 1920x1200 and even if I were to install an oldie title I kind of feel like my display itself disqualifies me technologically on the hardware side. ;o)

Would rather see someone with more archaic hardware get the chance to win some old school games so not entering, but good luck to everyone, and +1 rep for the giveway!
The Witcher at 800x600.

Thanks for the giveaway.

I am in. Thank you for your generosity, Maighstir!

The two games I decided to use are "Home" (a modern low-res game at 320x480) and "Trine" (640x480).

Thanks again!

Well, here is my entry:

Max Payne 2 at 680x480

Silent Hill 2 at 800x600

Resonance at 640x480

(Resonance was the only one out of the three games I could run in windowed mode in order to show it's actually running on my computer... both Max Payne 2 and Silent Hill 2 lack window mode option)

Low-res BUMP!

Here's a 1024x600 shot of my work-in-progress netbook, and that's as far as it goes. This entry is about the only thing that tiny res is good for :P

Alright, it's much too late for me to go through the thread and check all entries now (I should do today's Nationstates post, then head to bed), so you have another day.
A late entry from an attractive newcomer!

Exactly, and me being stuck with the same is the reason I remembered I had thought of doing this random giveaway.

Thank _deity_ for multiple desktops and full-screen modes (even Abiword uses F11 similarly to most browsers, though it leaves the menubar visible).
Alright, I hope I didn't miss anyone. It has happened.

As far as I can discern at the moment, there are 26 qualifying entries, and I apologise for not responding to the other five sooner, I haven't exactly been sitting here to look as the entries drop in (on vacation, and thus a lot more busy than when at home).

I could ignore the disqualified ones, and have them hope they were included in the draw, but I do prefer to be honest.
Dzsono, Feyling, kojocel, mrcrispy83 and Witchfynder. You were not included because you did not include proof enough that your screenshot were taken from a modern system (the games were too old, and the system wasn't shown - either being rectified would qualify). This is why Snickersnack's Quake 3 was qualified (Windows 8 was visible while the screenshot was still a correct size) while Witchfynder's was not.

The winner today is a face I haven't seen before, bbls2097. Please accept a gift of Kingpin: Life of Crime, MDK 2, MDK, Earthworm Jim 1 + 2, Sacrifice, Redneck Rampage Collection, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 2, Fallout, Messiah, Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader, Descent 3 + Expansion, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, VR Soccer '96, Kingdom: The Far Reaches, Evolva, Screamer, and Shattered Steel. As mentioned earlier, if you already have some of them on GOG, it will still be valid for those after you have redeemed the code, and you can pass it on to another. You shall receive it shortly.
Congrats to the winner ! And thank you again for the great giveaway Maighstir :-)
