Yesterday I was checking my wishlist, looking for a sale just in case, when I noticed that Ignite (a racing game that I have in my wishlist) didn't have a price tag. If I click in the "Visit Store Page", I'm re-directed to the main Steam page. Also, none of the others links for this game work. If I look for this game in the seach bar, Steam doesn't find it.

As fas as I know, this game was okay during the weekend. The official website for this game was last updated on November 2011...

Was the game removed from Steam? o_O

?? i can see the game in the store page , it costs 9.99$, decent game lack of story or pure racing is what led to it being inactive
wait now it takes me back to the main store page , odd at that it showed the page first

Indeed, seems that it's been pulled from Steam for whatever reason.

I still have it on my Steam account. Online has been dead for some time now.
well the old forums on steam still show for ignite

The Steam Community forums are gone though. Seems you can still buy the game - DRM-free no less, a funny thing given that the multiplayer used Steamworks - from Gamersgate.

Yeah, everything disappeared, even the "Official Ignite Group"... If it is true that the game was removed, I guess the best option to buy it now would be from GamersGate, since the game there is DRM-Free. The Green Man Gaming version uses Capsule :(

EDIT: Wait, the game also disappeared from Green Man Gaming... O_O
It doesn't showed for me in the search bar. I now it was on GMG, because I look for that game there last week, to find out if it was Steam redeemable or not...

I wonder if EA has anything to do with this.

Could they be strong-arming them into a name change?

Forums don't generally get removed when a game is no longer sold on Steam. So that's rather odd.

For example Mafia is no longer sold on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/app/40990/discussions/

Looking for info about this game last night, I found about that, and for a few seconds, that crossed my mind... mmm (:P)

EA would not have a leg to stand on if they tried, so very unlikely.

It's true, they seem to be very active for the new version of the game.
I asked this same question on SteamGifts, and some pointed that it could be the lack of CD-Keys on Steam. It could be true, but I'm not sure:

It'll be back soon.

That made me laugh... :D
Good news, I'll get it when it's back.

By this time, a game going down in Steam whenever EA announces a sequel is a pattern rather than an anomaly.

People should just stop doing business with this company. They have feces all over their hands.
