Hello. I was perusing my collection of games yesterday to see what had native Linux support. As I was browsing, I noticed a message on Brigador: Up-Armored Edition that said achievements now working in Windows and Linux and coming soon to Mac OS X. Here's the game's webpage on the site for confirmation:

https://www.gog.com/game/brigador

When I saw that, I questioned if what I knew about achievements was wrong. Specifically, I thought you had to have the GOG Galaxy client to trigger achievements, but there isn't a client for Linux to the best of my knowledge. If we don't need the Galaxy client for achievements, would other Linux games like Pillars of Eternity, for instance, have working achievements? Maybe that's just a misprint on the webpage, but it makes you wonder.
you need A client to track achievements... not only Galaxy can do it and even on Gog there are many games that use their own systems

of course this post may just be another example of marketing bullshit but it would be possible to run a client in at least one or two versions of Linux... its only a driver needed afterall
