I really enjoy achievements. I get that for some, it isn't important or necessary, however for me it adds a lot of replay value. It makes me try new builds or strategies that I otherwise wouldn't try. It also causes me to go back to games I enjoyed/beaten previously to go for the achievements for 100%.

So what are the problems with achievements as they currently stand?

1.) Lack of a central location to view/access achievement lists.
2.) Lack of a noticeable icon/tag. Epic Games have levels and experience. Steam has badges and profile "showcases". Xbox has Gamerscore. PlayStation has Trophies and Trophy Levels. I would love to see what GoG can come up with that would feel very GoG-Like. Like special icons based on the games, or maybe unique box art/display shelves for their digital shelf system.
3.) Games are hit/miss with Achievement Implementation. Not all games need achievements, however there should be a better way to tell if a game has achievements and a way to find them.

What about those who don't care or have problems with achievements like a compulsion that ruins the medium? Have all this be an opt in feature in the options. Have it turned off automatically and allow those interested to do it.

Thoughts?
1. I'm having trouble picturing what you mean. If it's a feature of another store, please post a screenshot. Owned Games set to list view shows the completion rate; from there you can click a game for the detailed view, and lastly click My Progress at the top.
The website feels slightly more convenient; you can go to your profile and click Games on that page to see the completion rate. From there, clicking a game takes you directly to its list of achievements.
Edit: Wait, do you mean being able to see what achievements are available without owning the game? Yes, that would be nice. On the website, you can get the product ID from GOGDB and then place it in this link:
https://www.gog.com/u/YOUR USERNAME HERE/game/PRODUCT ID HERE

2. I think the global completion rate already serves this purpose (e.g. Legendary 0.5%) but I don't feel strongly about it.

3. For games you have, you can set the Owned Games category to list view, as mentioned above. Anything missing a percentage in the trophy icon column doesn't have achievements.
For games you don't have, click More Offers on the left. Click the Filters link below the Everything category header. You can then search for games with specific features, like achievements.

4. Achievements are a basic feature and should stay on by default. It's already possible to turn them off globally and they don't work if your firewall isn't permissive. Plus, those who dislike achievements typically also dislike GOG Galaxy.

What I'd like to see:
A. Progress for individual achievements where applicable, e.g. Tickle 1000 Enemies with a Feather 3/1000
B. A way to tell if you've failed a particular achievement, if applicable. For example, a pacifist playthough where you'd normally only find out if the game misattributed certain deaths to you after having sunk 75 hours into it.

They should:

-add points in achievements (incomprehensible that in the epic store the cd project games have points and here at gog.com they don't)

-They should add an achievement profile like steam

-Ability to see the progress of achievements in the overlay

-offline achievements

Today gog galaxy seems very abandoned
