Hey everyone,

For a few days now, I can't seem to update any game in GOG Galaxy. I launch the download, it gets stuck right on the beginning and then fails with a generic "Update failed" error message every time, regardless of the game. I also tried installing game and I get a "Server problem" error.

I'm on Windows 10, using GOG Galaxy 2.0.73 (I think)

Is anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT: I uninstalled GOG, tried to reinstall it but the web installer can't download the client. I solved it by adding a firewall rule, but it doesn't seem to work for the install/update problem

Does it work if you download an installer and update it that way?

I already tried reinstalling with a freshly downloaded installer, but unfortunately it didn't help. If I try running that again, it just says that it's already installed and quits.

Trying to install a game says "Can't connect to GOG servers"
I figured it out after seeing that Steam had the same issues.

As advised by Steam's own support article, I deleted every firewall rule related to Steam and GoG Galaxy and I simply let them request firewall permissions again where needed. This fixed both Steam and GoG Galaxy. I guess both were updated recently which messed things up in the background
