Tried the few things I found but still happens.. ALL downloads start just fine, but after a short time.. the internet connection is broken... and even if I get it downloading again, by restarting EVERYTHING... the game always times out... checked with my tech support and ISP.... not at this end...

See it's an issue, but have found no help in my case. I can't play games cause I can't download them... I HATE GALAXY...

And, the "other downloader" doesn't show up in the "extra" tab... has anyone gotten past this issue.

Neither GOG customer service help.... no reply after several pleas for help... and of course.... nothing from GALAXY.

GOG Galaxy is completely useless to download large games. I have no trouble downloading from literally every other client I use on my PC (Steam, Origin, UPlay), but Galaxy loves to reset my downloading progress, wasting hours of precious time. You have to use the offline installers or relegate yourself to small games that can be downloaded in a couple of minutes.

well if you have tried a few thing all right then ;)

is perhaps one of the things you tried setting Galaxy to a download limit of half your avalable stream... so if your network gives you a steady 10mb download then set Galaxy to a max limit of 5mb
