Same problem here. When I go to Support page - saw such message "IMPORTANT NOTICE! WE ARE EXPERIENCING AN OUTAGE WHICH AFFECTS ALL OF OUR SERVICES INCLUDING WEBSITE AND GALAXY FUNCTIONALITY.
PLEASE BE PATIENT AS WE WORK TO RECOVER."

looks like the site suffers from the same issue. got 500 error and this message in profile "Some friend information can't be displayed at the moment due to exceedingly high traffic"
I hope it's gog getting more popular and not some kind of attack or technical issue.

You're saying GOG Galaxy , the client of the DRM free game distributor is always online? Okay then

Well, if you don't want an online client, just download direct installers. GoG gives you the choice unlike every other online retailer (or "renter" as some don't even "sell" you games anymore).

That being said, there should definitely be a way to launch games even when Galaxy can't contact the website. Makes no sense.

This was possible with Galaxy 1.2.

All others have offline mode with play time tracking and achievements why not GOG

Yep, that's true, +1 non released function in Galaxy 2.0.XX

no, it's in web browser, user profile. not galaxy. sounds like generic error to cover all issues with web and client version but it does not say about online requirements

It isn't, you can launch the games you've installed from GoG without launching GoG. Just go into GoG Galaxy/games then enter whatever game you wanna play's folder, launch the .exe. That's assuming you don't already have a desktop shortcut, in which case... Just launch it from there

Yeah but then no launcher features which is the whole point of having a launcher, Steam works offline with overlay and achievements and playtime tracking
same here, eventually u can disable momentarily your net and start gog in offline mode, then re enable net, but this way ur clients will not synch and the games installed will not be displayed apart the ones linked directly through their exe.

You can just launch the games from the directory where you installed them.
Same problem for me as well. Keep clicking on log in and nothing. Error something went wrong. I wouldn't reinstall as I tried twice and still can't get Galaxy to work.
