wamenslot: Hello guys!
My Galaxy 2.0 just stoped to cloud sync since yesterday. Was planing to play some No Man Sky and now besides taking some minutes to launch the game (cause it keep trying to conect), I can't play online cause of that.
I tried to download a owned game from the plataform and it worked okey. But games that have cloud saving just won't sync and won't work online.
What can I do ?
The error message is: "Cloud sync is delayed due to a heavy load. It will restart next time when you launch the game".
Workarounds I just tested to work.
When it's trying to sync and failing, go to task manager and close GalaxyCommunicationService, that should push through. Sync will still fail but you can get past it.
Second thing I just tested that seems to fix the issue entirely, is right click GalaxyCommunicationService > Open file location.
While it's trying to sync, right click GalaxyCommunication.exe and Run as administrator. It's in ...ProgramData\Gog.com\Galaxy\Redists
I had an old KCD sync error from a year ago, starting the game up stalls on sync, run as administrator pushes through into game. I quit game and it stalls on sync once again, run as administrator pushes it through and it no longer has the yellow error.
Perhaps going into GalaxyCommunication.exe properties > Compatibility > Run this program as an administrator might fix it. This is asinine and arbitrary as I'm already the administrator with admin rights, just another screw up from galaxy, no surprise.
Edit1: Tested this with Space Haven and it didn't work, it pushes through fine without having to do anything but maintains the error. Uninstalled reinstalled several times as well, no luck. Disabled sync, no luck.
Edit2: Tested with Little Misfortune and it worked.
I'd just disable cloud sync on all games, waste of bandwidth and completely unreliable. This has been an issue for a long time and they haven't addressed it at all, infrequent updates, and they never post here. I have games missing from my library that just won't show up in galaxy even though I obviously own them, and they used to show up. Just bad software, with 0 attention from the developer(s) 'working' on it.
