Anyone else miss seeing games on a shelf? That was kind of a trademark style for GOG and they dropped it. Wish GOG Galaxy 2.0 could be skinned with a shelf view.

I do! I got a huge amount of satisfaction from admiring my personal arrangement of games on my GOG shelf. I still can't believe they got rid of it. It made impulse purchases during sales so easy. :|

That said, I think the library view in GOG Galaxy 2.0 is really nice and the tags are awesome. I just wish there was an option for custom arrangements like the old shelf. Some games just look awful sitting next to each other.

I hear ya. I really enjoy GOG's visual design work and GOG Galaxy is ok but they keep moving away from what made them interesting in the first place.

Galaxy 2.0 has been out for while and it's just as boring as when it launched.

Agreed. It could be an option, at least
Yes, I miss it! So much that I blocked updates to 2.0 because I find it so flat, monotone n ugly. To hell with forced minimalism/simplicity and streamlining everything. I still use the old launcher and I'm grateful they let me do that.

Shelf view actually gave me the feeling of psysical copies and I admire the pic you linked. That looks gorgeous! Like steelbooks in a real collection! <3 I just hope they give us theme support or add the shelf option themselves.
It's still there when you view your games library via the site (albeit a bit simpler in design) but yeah, it'd be really awesome if it were an option in Galaxy. I like the current view but if we had an option to display them on a virtual shelf, I'd likely use that 9 times out of 10. Being a guy who still tries to buy physical copies of games/movies/books/music, GOG is the next-best thing when it comes to digital distribution so it's only appropriate.

If you use Adalia Fundamentals script it is back in the site as beautiful as it was before - even with manual sorting.
