Hi,
i am user of a Windows 7 (x64) PC. I downloaded GOG_Galaxy_2.0.exe but it is just loaded into RAM and then doing nothing. Is there an older version of GOG-Galaxy which supported Windows 7.

Thank you for your support.

Kindly

You could try 1.2:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/how_to_keep_galaxy_v12_client_and_avoid_the_forced_v20_beta_update

Galaxy 2.0 isn't supporting windows 7 as far as I know, so it might break with any new update without warning. Some people might add, that it doesn't even support windows 10 correctly at the current time... ;)
nothing supports Windows 7 because W7 is finished

getting something to keep running is not the same thing as being supported... yes 1.2 will keep working as long as you follow the full instructions about blocking the auto update but thats still a temp fix and sooner or latter you will need to replace your system

Yes, OP will have to replace the system at some time in the future and using 1.2 until then might make life a little easier when trying to keep the game-library up to date. This is a temporary solution, like all software is only a temporary solution.

well, some of us want to play old games in old machines, it's a shame that GOG Galaxy 2.0 doesn't support Windows 7 and Steam does; btw, yeah, I know that I can download the offline installer of my games.

Steam does not support Windows 7 ... it just allows you to run it on 7 because they want your money [same as Gog does]

game platforms need things like Dx12 & Chrome to work and they start to break after the support date has pasted becuse Microsoft / Apple will go out of their way to make them break in order to force users into using the next system

We've released a fix (2.0.43) for Windows 7 support 2 days ago, feel free to check it out. :)

It's still giving me the same problem Auto update does not work, I would need offline installer but why have Auto updates I like to have freedom like we did with 1.2 I might just revert back to 1.2, will wait until some offline installer comes for 2.0.43 and if nothing fixes it I will just revert back
