Hi all,

I recently bought myself a Steam Deck OLED, and it's awesome. I have a lot of Steam games, and obviously Valve have made it a very smooth experience for native games/apps.

However, GOG is my prefered store when possible, and so I have many games that I don't have immediate access to on the Deck. I understand there are third party solutions, but I was wondering: has anyone any experience with using GOG Galaxy on the Deck with Proton?

The reason I ask is that I'd like to continue scoring my GOG achievements and think that's only possible with Galaxy (correct me if I'm wrong). For example, I'd like to continue my Witcher 3 playthrough on the Deck, but don't want to miss out on scoring cheevos on the way.

Alternatively, if I just installed Witcher 3 (for example) with the installer directly, would any achievements pop when I next load a cloudsave (made with my Deck) on my gaming PC?

well first off all Witcher and fuckpunk are a special case as they sync back to the main PR server not the older Gog one

generally specking achievements link to only one server so say BG3 links to the Larian server not Gog or Steam so that would work reguardless of which platfrom you link the Steam deck to, however the hours played is not the same as actual achievements

in sort each game is set up different but i see you are in the States so server lag should not be the roadblock it is for Australians or Europeans

i'm a new steam deck owner / pc game sphere user and i would love to see official steam deck support from GOG Galaxy
