It's not uncommon for me to find the Epic Store plugin has crashed and needs to be restarted. Why doesn't it to this automatically? I can understand wanting to avoid an infinite loop of restarts, but trying every minute for five minutes doesn't seem beyond the pale.
I think it's because it shouldn't crash, especially if it's an official integration: this way you can look at the debug log or send it to the support team or the developer.
they tend to crash because Gog staff just copy-paste code they don't understand when setting up new pages so the normal result is they do try and restart a few times [re-crash] and then get locked out by your OS to stop them taking up too much of the system

why do Gog staff use copy-paste = its quicker

why don't they understand the code = untrained

why does it crash = wasn't tested
