installed the game and I can see the initial movie etc, but the screen stays black where there should be a menu for loading the save files and other options. My pc is fairly recent , the graphics are integrated, nvidia geforce 7050/ 610i, any idea?

try lauching direct using nwmain.exe see if anything is different.

You did install in C:\ ?
You set to run as administrator and compatibility service pack 3?

thanks man, just updated the integrated Nvidia drivers, it's working like a charm! Excellent ! that game purchase kicks ass, should have been my first purchase on GOG
