Okay, I have tried looking a various suggestions, and nothing seems to be working. Here is what is up.

I am a level 4 rogue/level 1 fighter with Xanos as my companion. I have already killed the white dragon, but I made sure to get the powder from him first. I also have the gnolls on my side to help me fight. I am already on easy mode. My problem is I am getting killed in 1-2 shots by J'nah's lightning.

I've tried using Xanos in battle, but he just dies way too quickly. He won't use any potions I place in his inventory so it's way too much of a hassle to try and keep him healed. Basically, I just have him cast mage armor and resistance on me, and tell him to stay put.

I have tried using my longbow +1, but again, I keep getting killed within two shots. It also seems I can't get any shots in because I am constantly healing. Another suggestion I found was leading her minions into the hallway. However, I get three of them to follow me instead of just one or two. Plus, J'nah can still reach me with her electrical attack. Any help, PLEASE!

Ach, can't remember the specifics of this. You did use the powder on him did you? It's supposed to stop his magic, but can't remember about the lightning.

Being a thief, you could try using traps, poisons, letting your allies attack and backstab. Did you have any summoning items by any chance?

But it's also possible it's just undoable. Low level wizard isn't much help and a low level rogue is no powerhouse by himself. You could perhaps use the thingy to teleport back home and pick up another companion with a bit more combat prowess? It's no problem switching the henchmen now and then.

Failing that, you could also just not fight and give J'nah what he wants.
You can ally with the gnolls in the cave before J'nah and they will help you in the battle. Talk to the gnoll chieftain when you free the prisoners.

I was able to kill her hand-to-hand after using the powder. You could try a wand or Knockdown if you have the feat. I think you have to stay close to her, no ranged attack, which should have been perfect for a rogue sneak attack. You also have to be buffed to the max.

I had Dorna with me.

I'm already in alliance with the gnolls, and have used the powder. I also have been using the stone that summons the earth elemental.

As for getting an different ally, the only people I have to choose from is Dorna, a rogue/cleric and Xanos, a barbarian/sorcerer. Seeing as how I am a rogue/fighter (mostly rogue), it seems Xanos would be the better choice.

As for not fighting her, I have no choice. The game makes you fight her no matter what.

Hmm ... I tried melee at first, and that failed, but maybe Dorna has some spells that would help me more.
Dorna could cast healing spells.

So, you have gnolls, an earth elemental and Xanos? What are the stats for your PC? Can you upgrade weapons or armor, or acquire anything with spell resistance? You should have a lot of healing potions and be using potions of speed, endurance, cat's grace, aid, bless, barkskin and bull's strength.

Can you complete any other side quests and come back once you have gained another level?

Those are just some thoughts.

Edit- I went back and looked at this save and I did have a sash of shimmering for spell resistance, was lvl 6 fighter 3/ paladin 3. When I visited J;nah it was the first visit, I spoke to her accepted the mission and then buffed up and then attacked her.

Sadly, I sold most of my non healing potions. I just rarely need/use them. I do remember the first time I played, I was a fighter/rogue with more levels in fighter, but I really didn't want my main class to be a fighter this time.

I've done all the side quests and killed all the deers and cows even. The only thing I have left untouched are the villagers and I didn't loot the crypt. I was playing it where my character does have some respect for the dead, but I can see her going against that if desperate enough. Hopefully, fighting some undead will get me leveled.
Puppy, sounds like you're on the right track with your tactics (i.e. leading them into the hallway). I'd try that with Dorna if you can switch henchmen out. You might also want to check out This Thread for some further ideas as well. Good luck.
My problem with leading them is they never followed. Going back to the Elven crypt to fight some undead helped. I'm considered evil now instead of neutral, but I can work with that. Thanks everyone for the replies. :)
