It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Title pretty much covers it. Years ago, I ran the game with no problems on this exact same laptop running Windows XP; now it's running Windows 7, and it is unplayable.

EDIT: reset all settings in graphics drivers to default, reinstalled to C:\neverwinter (instead of program files), and ran as administrator (not compatibility mode). One of these things solved the problem completely--not sure which one.

Try to run in a compatibility mode.

Make sure you're not in the default directory.

Diable visual themese and desktop composition

Make sure you're in Full Screen Mode, not window mode

Run as an admin

Be sure you have accurate and up-to-date video drivers for Win 7 for your laptop's graphics

I'd start with those.
