Ok, so Norton is absolutely convinced that blinkw32.dll is a trojan virus but its being installed by NWN and seems to be necessary to run. Anyone know how to fix this?

Assuming you are installing a legitimate NWN, and not a pirate copy, then Norton is wrong, and you have three options:
1. Ensure your AV databases are up to date
2. Disable Norton temporarily
3. Zip up the file and send it in to Symantec -- this should always be done, as it's how AVs become updated.

Just bought my copy of the game from GOG this morning. Managed to create an exception so its not saying that anymore but instead now I get Runtime Error with Abnormal program termination error

Did you install the game *directly* to the C drive and NOT Program Files?

Can you get a screenshot of your installation folder and/or the error message?

Its on the C drive in a folder, I could move it to the program files, I did manage to sort the video issue

No, do NOT move it to Program Files, that's the whole point: the 'Program Files' folder structure is protected by Windows, and games should never be installed there.

What is the verbatim error message you are getting?

I have actually gotten the game working, renaming the exe file seems to have fixed it, it must have been the video card bit.
